Sia - colour-coded and solvent-free foam abrasives
• Colour coding means you can prevent mixing up abrasives.
• Highly flexible. Consistent abrasive pattern.
• Does not become brittle.
• Washable. No pungent solvent odour.
• Versatile use on plastics, composites, paints, lacquers, old lacquers, primer fillers, primers, wood.
The advantages of siasponge foam as a backing material
With a view to sustainable production, solvent-free binder resins are used in the manufacture of siasponge abrasives. sia Abrasives is therefore committed to avoiding health and environmental risks, reducing unpleasant odours in the workplace and reducing hazardous or explosive vapours.
Maximum conformability. Due to their conformability, foam abrasives are the ideal choice, particularly for areas that are difficult to access and profiled surfaces. Uneven surfaces such as profiles, rods and curved shapes are the ideal application range for siasponge abrasives. The sophisticated shapes of the siasponge block series make it easier to work with rebates and curves.
Low clogging thanks to 3D effect. A combination of soft backing material and flexible grit bonding reduces clogging of the foam abrasives. Sanding dust is continuously removed from the spaces between the grains. Using more flexible binder resin and optimised coating method with improved 3D embedding of the abrasive grit, the low clogging characteristics have been further improved. The sponges can therefore be used multiple times.
